Yorkshire Terrier Training
The Yorkshire Terrier is a tiny dog with a full-sized terrier attitude—bold, alert, and quick to sound the alarm. Beneath the silky coat is a clever, spirited companion that learns well when owners take training as seriously as they would with a large breed. Yorkies are prone to excessive barking and can be tricky to house-train, so consistency from day one is key. Their confidence can tip into so-called small-dog syndrome if boundaries are lax. Reward-based training, early socialization, and firm-but-gentle rules produce a poised, affectionate lap dog that is far more capable and trainable than its size suggests.
