Privacy Policy

dogs.academy is a free library of dog-training guides. You can read every page without an account, and we don't collect personal information. The site is operated by dogs.academy (l3rundong@gmail.com).

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, sign-up forms, comments, newsletters or advertising cookies on this site.

Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type and the page requested — to deliver pages and protect the service. We don't use this data to profile visitors. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Analytics

To learn which guides are useful, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. They don't use cookies and don't identify you or follow you across other websites. Each page view records the page address, referrer, approximate location (country, region, city), browser, operating system and device type. Visits are counted with a hash of the request instead of a cookie, and that hash is discarded after 24 hours; Speed Insights additionally measures how fast pages load. We only see aggregated statistics. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy and Speed Insights privacy.

Data stored on your device

A few preferences are saved in your browser's local storage and never leave your device: your light/dark theme choice, which training steps you've marked as done on a guide, and whether the logo animation has already played this session. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

YouTube videos

Some guides recommend YouTube videos. dogs.academy uses the YouTube API Services to find and check these videos; by watching them you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Videos load only when you click play, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). Until you click, the page shows a thumbnail image from YouTube. Once a video plays, YouTube may store data on your device as described in Google's policy. We don't receive or store any information about you from YouTube. You can review or revoke access Google services have to your data at Google's security settings.

Children

The site is general-audience educational content and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
